World Class Fishing

The waters around Lord Howe Island are teaming with pelagic and other temperate water fish but the kingfish (locally known as "Greenbacks"), is what Lord Howe Island is famous for.

The island offers excellent game fishing for Whiting, Trevally, Bonefish, Australian Salmon, Spangled Emperor, Bluefish and the Double Headed Wrass (unique to Lord Howe), Yellow Fin, Wahoo, Blue and Stripped Marlin can be hooked in late summer and early autumn.
